Mr. Settles brings nearly three decades of experience in education, with an extensive background in school administration, instructional leadership, student intervention, athletics, and faith based community building. He currently serves as DCA’s Athletic Director and previously held leadership roles including Head Principal of a Day Treatment Program (grades 6–12), Assistant Principal, MTSS Intervention Coach, and Interim Principal. His career reflects a deep commitment to supporting students academically, behaviorally, and spiritually.
In addition to administrative leadership, he has spent many years in the classroom teaching government, social studies, physical education, and health, while also serving as a head football coach and mentor, building strong relationships with students both on and off the field.
Faith is central to his leadership. He is an active member of Southland Christian Church – Danville Campus, where he has participated in men’s groups, student mentorship, prayer ministry, small groups, service projects, and missions. His personal faith and dedication to Christian service align closely with DCA’s mission to educate students in truth, excellence, and Christ-centered values.
Academically, he holds a Rank I in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Education, equipping him with both practical experience and strong academic preparation to lead DCA forward.
We believe his vision, steady leadership, heart for students, and commitment to Christian education will strengthen our school community and help DCA continue to grow in excellence and impact.
